Food distribution services
Food distribution means that you can order food and have it delivered to your home. The home care service takes the order and delivers the food box to you. Food distribution is ready-made food, produced by the municipality's dietary unit Navet. The food is nutritionally balanced and prepared with a high proportion of locally produced ingredients.
Food distribution costs SEK 256/month plus a cost per food portion.
The social dog team
The social dog team works on referrals to users who have needs. The team then visits users in their homes based on an individually developed program based on social, emotional, physical and cognitive abilities and needs. The dogs contribute to the work of the administration to create a dignified life and well-being for our elderly. Dignified life and well-being is a goal based on the values of the Social Services Act.
A social service dog has been tested for its suitability in a special test and received a passing score in all elements. The dog has then been trained by its owner, with the support of instructors, during the one-year training and, together with the handler, has passed a practical test for certification. The dog, together with its handler, has the task of training, motivating and spreading joy and well-being to people who have some form of disability. The dog is retested every two years.
All work with social service dogs is based on guidelines drawn up by the municipality, which take into account hygiene aspects, the spread of infection, allergies and the division of responsibilities.
